Bio

Two decades deep in Bay Area sound.

From spinning vinyl at BASS Records to rocking clubs across San Jose and San Francisco — the story of Jeremy Hinton, better known as DJ BigBoy.

Portrait of DJ BigBoy

DJ BigBoy (Jeremy Hinton) is a seasoned DJ and music promoter based in the Santa Clara area. With over 20 years of experience behind the decks, he has become a fixture of the Bay Area music and entertainment scene — not just as a performer, but as a curator, shop manager, and connector.

He spent nearly a decade as a guest DJ on Wild 94.9, one of the Bay's most influential radio stations, mixing live on air for thousands of listeners. Alongside radio, he built his name through legendary club residencies at spots like the Vinyl Room and Mayes in San Francisco, as well as Taste Ultralounge, Sabor, and other venues across San Jose.

Beyond the booth, BigBoy helped shape the region's vinyl culture. He co-owned BASS Records in Fremont, CA, and managed the famous Straight Hits Vinyl Shop — a go-to destination for diggers, DJs, and anyone chasing rare cuts.

Whether it's a nightclub main room, a private party, a festival stage, or a corporate event, the approach is the same: read the room, mix live, and keep the dance floor moving.
